Likhan Sai Govt. College Tapkara is a new college started in Tapkara in the year 2009. It has been started with an aim to deliver education to the remote regions of Tapkara. The college imparts education in the field of Science, Arts and Commerce at graduate level.

Being the only Govt. College at Tapkara, the College serves a wide region of approx. 20 kms comprising of at least 15 villages. The college has been fortunate to receive full support from the Govt. of Chhattisgarh in terms of financial aid. The college though has limited resources but its vision encompasses the upliftment of the region through quality education and creating modern learning environment for the students. The college aims at imparting value addition programs for enhancing vocational skills of the students.

Tapkara also referred as Naglok is famous for its immensely populated snakes.
